Problem:

When trying to get a block to display recent posts, I get the following after clicking the "home" button:

Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
Please contact the server administrator, webmaster@quadinc.stevensdrum.com and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

My Forum Error Log has about 50 pages of this:

http://quadinc.stevensdrum.com/forum/index.php
Database Error: Unknown column 'lt.logTime' in 'field list'
File: /home/mikedrum/public_html/quadinc/forum/SSI.php
Line: 301

Maybe run a repair on the database from a program like phpMyAdmin. If that doesn't work I guess you could run the manual_install.php to see if you're missing something in your database.

Arkanthos

It does look like a problem in your database. I'd backup what you have (just the data) and build a new database. Might want to try using the manual installer way of doing it, if you have phpMyadmin. For some reason I've allways felt more comforable doing it that way.

I have phpmyadmin and all that in my cpanel on my server, but I am unfamiliar with databases. I dont want to go mess up everything. it seems to me it must be a problem with the way I installed TP (since I modified my babylon theme), like there's a file or some code missing or something.

see my other post on how i did the install, and tell me if you see a glaring mistake with something I did:

http://www.tinyportal.net/smf/index.php?topic=3449.msg29243#msg29243

any help appreciated!

IchBin

I don't see any problems with your install. You can run the database optimizations in the admin panel of SMF.

That kind of error means it could not connect to your DB, because of misconfiguration(password or something may be wrong). Sooo....

If your site works, but your ssi_recent topic's doesn't work, thne i believe it's a DB problem. Not software problem as Ichbin as said...
