You're not saying exactly what problems you are having. When asking for support (here or anywhere) giving any errors or problems that you see can help those that are trying to help you. Telling what process you did to install it might also help.

I will not really reccomend you using Flash Chat inside your SMF and TP siteBut if you feel your comfort with how to handle your site and always have backups, by all means use it on your site,
The reason i will not reccomend you to have it on your site is because it's a very known software to hackers. They hack through the Flash Chat to get into your servers files and folders.
If you still want to integrate it, here are some links you need to read and learn how to work the code inside the SMF files. It's NOT an easy thing.

And here is a mod that integrates flashchat to SMF that also holds some settings inside SMF admin panel. It's outdated so i will not really recomend it, but it do work in SMF 1.1.7 if you change the xml file to be accepted withSMF 1.1.7

Would anybody here have any suggestions for a really good chatroom that i can put on my forum.

I bought a $5.00 version of flash chat,but it is not what i am looking for.

I need to be able to place add banners inside this room.

This is crusial to my forum being a success.

This is the last step in my forum building then i can open it to the public....

Just to make some small things clear. your forum is your forum, you can add what ever you like to it, any functions what so ever

BUT, we in the staff cant make every little thing for you but show you how to ( i know thats exactly what you want ) but as we are a bit limited in staff, and also time to give support, you have to share us with a few thousand other members to 

From what i can see now that you need, is to go to SMF forums, and look at their mods, there are several diffrent banner mods you can look at, and when you have found one, simply install it through your SMF admin packagemanager.

Another thing i suggest is for you to install a testsite to your host, you can place it in a sub dir and play with everythng you want, with out being affraid of breaking your live site.
When you are happy with what you have tested, and found what mods and fucions you want, you can do the same to your live site, and you will know how to do it
