WYSIWYG Editor in SMF Proper

After searching the forums I could not find any specific discussion on this.  Has any though been givin to providing an option to replace SMF's post editor with the WYSIWYG editor that is part of the latest TinyPortal build?

Its a major task..with lots of changes to the SMF files so I am not looking into this currently.

But others are welcome to try of course.

Another mod alltogether I think..its much more than just stack a WYSIWYG into the textarea in post.template. You have to check if the user use that or the old bbc codes, leave out the preparsing of the html code, translate/check when outputting posts again, change the preview routine etc. And of course dealing with hack attempts through javascript... Alas, a lot of things.

just aint always worth the effort on some mods
hehe it almost be easier to build another branch of smf then to *just* replace the text editor and add portal and blocks and php scripting and protection against java hacks ect lol
