Goto SMF's site and download the repair_settings.php file that they have. Point your browser to it and make sure all your settings are right. That might fix your database connection problem.

Upgraded to SMF 1.0.3, modified tinyportal (I've edited tp to be indipendent by the forum, basically the home page called portal.php uses a theme in wich there's installed tinyportal, while the forum uses the same theme without TP, so I've no lateral bars in the forum, and I can customize my homepage )

It's quite simply the modification I've done... If you want I can attach the edited sources...

Btw, the modification I've made could be better... In fact, it should be absolutely needed to hide left and right bars when an user is in the Forum... Mkp does it, and also TP should do it
My modification is more radical, but I could optimize it... Without creating 2 themes, but adding in the theme some variables to add the TP theme code only if wanted in the TP admin...
If I can find time, i'll try something about...

I install in my page it fine i guess but I have problem in your instruction how to edit rte_image.php files I didn't know much about the code or forum can you explain what need to change and where it is ? it confuse me though

What exactly are you trying to change? rte_image.php is only used in the AplosRTE editor.

Check that you copied over the "images" folder from default theme over to your "TinyPortal_06beta" theme folder.

Only if you backed it up..in the latest archive there are sql files for creating the tables, but they will not resurrect your own data of course.

Your database isn't gone. Just the 'xxxxxxxxx.tportal_settings' table is missing. I had a similar situation happen to me. What have you recently installed?
