Here is a small update from 0.5beta/0.4beta to 0.6beta.

I have tested it on new installs, and upgraded 0.4 and 0.5 installs, but would like to hear how it goes for you. ;)

New in this small update:

- WYSIWYG editor no longer introduces spaces and strange widths.
- install/un-install routines are changed some, to better cater for errors.
- modified theme will no longer "break" the forum if TP is not present.
- added option to turn off WYSIWYG editor. For now a plain textfield.
- permissions for membergroups are limited to non-postbased groups for now.
- Menu manager has enabled lists only for the right type.

There are two archives for you to use:

1) for fresh install or upgrading from 0.5beta.
2) for upgrading from 0.4beta only.

Full install went good on a new smf installation. Will try the upgrade on my live site. lol wish me luck. hehe

On the upgrade I see that the default/index.template.php says failure right before I go to proceed. Is this ok? Why would it do this? The permissions are set to 777 on the file.

Nevermind, it was because I uploaded the wrong package.

Ray

Seem to go ok on the live site for me --will look at it more later

Version number didn't change but the install on an upgrade went great. No problems with anything so far. Nice job Bloc!!!0

Really can not find anything wrong -- i changed the version number myself but that was it -- nice job

Note: upgraded to SMF 1.03 also and all seems ok

NightOwl

salute to Bloc, you've fix my permission problem :)

Upgrade process:
-Download the 04-06 package and upload to package manager
-Run it with a fail report with modifying index.template.php(don't know why it's needed. Most of us won't have an untouched index.template.php.)
-Runs fine afterwards.

Suggestions:
We are now having discussions within 04,05 and 06. So for avioding confusion,  I think it will be better if there is another forum for 0.6 specific. Or just request user to post version first before issueing questions.

Bjørn

Yes, mentioning version number is good, I can set up a new board too..

Great to hear it works as intended...but it fails on index.template.php on upgrading? I separated it into two archives, just becuase 05 and 04 is slightly different, but it might be more changes.

how about fresh installs? anyone tried that?
