Plugins are modifications to existing TinyPortal features or modules that extend it's abilities. For example, each WYSIWYG editor is considered a plugin. Additional editors can be added that are used by the article, blocks and module systems.
Something like a Image Gallery or a Download Manager would not be considered a plugin, but rather a Module. However, if someone made a modification to add "Digg It" (http://"http://digg.com/") link options for all images within an Image Gallery module, or all downloads in the Download Manager module, then that would also be considered a plugin.
