downloads (how can we add a file without upload?)

how can we add a file without upload? i want the fila locate another server. someone ,who clicked, begin the download from another server (my english is too bad)

Att this time you cant do that with in TP's download module.

G6 is right, but maybe you could you build a article page with the external links for those downloads for your users to click on?? Just a thought ...  ???

Mm, I guess what you really seeking for is a Link Manager then, rather than a Download Manager...

Arg, this is an extremely basic function. I have many files distributed throughout various servers. I should be able to reference files not in my immediate tp-downloads folder! There are bandwidth limitations on my server...

PLEASE PLEASE make this work in the next release! Currently the downloads section is extremely ill-featured...
