Question for Bloc,
I love the look of the Apollo theme and I have seen and tested the botton generator but as far as I can see, it cannot accept UTF-8 encoding.

I need to have my forum running with English & Japanese selectable languages.

Any comment?

hm...I will have a look to see if I can change the encoding.

Bjørn

Try it now and see if it works better.

archiebald

Thanks for trying but I think you just changed the page encoding.

Sorry I didn't explain clearly but I think the problem is with the font that is used to render the button.

If it is not a unicode font, then the characters displayed are either garbled or just show as little squares.  I guess the only solution is to have selectable fonts.

I also tried the Helios button generator with the "Support for Cyrillic" option checked but nothing appears at all.

Thanks for the feedback though.

I see. I will hunt down a japanese font...so you can choose.

Just thought I'd check in to see if you had made any progress on this.

No, I havent been able to look into this yet i am afraid.

I am afraid that smf use Tranditional Chinese utf-8 also. If that can be done on button generation, then chinese localization is considered done.
