Offroad-Review

Yesterday I was surprised to see my website down with the following error message.

"8192: Function ereg() is deprecated"

I'm now scrambling to find a way to get it back up and running but I'm not sure where to start. My servers tech support told me I'm getting this message due to an outdated php script (pre PHP 5.3) that hasn't been around since Aug 2014. How could my site be functioning until recently if this is in fact the issue? Any suggestions on what I can ask them to do? Reset something? load a backup of my database? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I am running SMF version 1.1.4 & Tinyportal version 0.9.8

Thanks

you really really really need to upgrade your SMF install. ideally it should be upgraded to SMF 2.0.

without further details on the error message you are getting, like what file and line number, there is not much we can do to help you.
